From 19 to 22 November, Frankfurt hosted the international exhibition and conference Formnext 2019 - a business platform that brings together the best companies of additive technologies in the world - Industry 4.0.
Formnext gathers exhibitors and visitors for the fourth time. This year for the first time in the framework of this exhibition our company presented metal powders produced for the needs of additive manufacturing. Samples of powder materials from heat-resistant Nickel and Titanium alloys used for laser and electron-beam fusion and laser surfacing methods were shown at CMK booth. Being the owner of the unique technology of production of spherical powders with high functional characteristics, Stupino Metallurgical Company (CMK) gave an opportunity to each visitor to estimate the quality of powders directly on the exposition certainly attracting attention of visitors of the exhibition.
Additive technologies entering major high-tech industries - aviation, medicine and surgery, space, etc. - prompts manufacturers of 3D products to pay increased attention to the quality of consumables. The quality level of powder materials according to PREP technology is unparalleled: high degree of sphericity, excellent flow rate, absence of satellites and internal porosity, the lowest content of gas impurities. These characteristics are required by manufacturers of 3D printers applying various printing methods: DMG Mori, SLM Solutions, Prima Additive, BeAM, Coherent, Insstek, Shining and others.
During the previous year CMK was preparing for this debut, a number of studies and programs were implemented to test the production of powder for several printing technologies confirming the advanced functionality and applicability of powder materials produced by CMK. In the course of the exhibition meetings were held and a start was given for testing powders by companies that implement 3D production.
Alongside meetings and negotiations with potential customers, meetings with manufacturers of metal powders were of great interest. Innovations and constant evolution of Industry 4.0 allows the competitors to remain like-minded associates and partners. Specialists in all areas of powder development, production and promotion are eager to share their experience, ideas and achievements.
CMK specialists were able not only to hold a series of meetings and negotiations with potential customers at the booth of our company, but also visited the booths of powder manufacturers - Tekna, ACME, Renishaw, Carpenter, Oerlicon Metco, AP & C.
Summing up the participation in Formnext 2019, it is fair to say that the metal powder produced by CMK was successfully presented to the wide audience of the world of additive technologies.
